Like many baby boomers, I wanted a significant change in my life that would bring new and exciting challenges, while allowing me to continue to give to others. I had been a very successful physician for 27 years, having been educated at Johns Hopkins, George Washington, McGill and Harvard Universities. But in 1997, the direction the Health Care System was taking in this country was distracting and distancing me from my patients and their care. So I departed medicine, moved to Sonoma County to begin a new adventure and asked myself, “What next?”

In making such a radical change, I decided to pursue one of several passions. While practicing medicine in Boston, I became interested in Historic homes and architecture. Some years later I worked to designate as Historic (and thus protect) a neighborhood of Victorian and turn of the century homes that were in danger of disappearing. That process brought me in contact with a number of real estate developers, small business owners, Realtors and architects, and I was fascinated with all aspects of their work.

Upon arriving in Sonoma County, I decided to translate that fascination into my next career. I have been a Realtor in Sonoma County since 2000 and was at the same Brokerage for 12 years where I rose to the top of my field. In August, 2013, I decided to change once again and move my business to Vanguard Properties. Vanguard has an entrepreneurial spirit and vision that matches mine, and they provide dynamic, individualized support to help me serve my clients even better than before.

In every aspect of my professional life, I strive to bring creativity to my work. Real Estate represents significant change for my clients at many levels: personal, professional and financial.
