Jack Owen-Parker

I grew up in Laguna Beach and have followed the real estate market since I bought my first fixer home at the age of 18. My father was a developer and I was able to watch him take a project from rendering to completion. Later in his career, he built top-end high rise condominiums; by my early 20s I had flipped several properties on my own.

In 1987, I moved to San Francisco. From the moment I arrived I felt like I was at home. I went to interior design school and began collecting information on houses for sale and new construction, with an eye on becoming a realtor. Along the way, I also became a hairstylist, working for a top Italian hair color company for 10 years and traveling nationally to mentor stylists mastering their craft.

I have bought and sold many homes in San Francisco and I have extensive know-how in taking a fixer house from a total gut to the studs and turning it into a dream home. I have remodeled kitchens and bathrooms. My creative background enables me to see the potential in less desirable homes and my experience has given me the vision to turn them into gems.

I have operated a small boutique hair salon in the Castro for 25 years. I rode horses growing up and I love animals. I’m an avid art collector, and I enjoy getting my hands dirty in my garden. I live with my husband and our three wonderful cats. I am a realtor because I want to use my 30+ years of experience in this city to help my clients find homes that make them feel as happy in the Bay Area as I do. Real estate is an emotional and exciting experience and I love helping people through the process of purchasing.
